How often do the oil & water filters need to be replaced in the compressed air lines? Can/should the elements be removed and cleaned? Thanks!

I am in Colorado Springs, and in ten years with a silent air, valair compressor with a moisture trap and oil coalising filters. I have never cleaned or changed them about once a months I drain the tank of collected water, not much.YMMV
