GRS Training Center has an opening for their Advanced Inlay and Overlay class. This class is the week of November 4-8. This should be a great class - probably only 4 students.

Achieve dramatic effects with soft metal inlay. The course material covers multiple techniques for wire and sheet inlay that can be used for vines, scrolls, leaves, and even sculpted raised inlays. These techniques work well with knives, jewelry, bits and spurs, and firearms. Inlay also brings color and depth to a workpiece — a great way to make work stand out from the competition.

Intermediate scroll design and layout for projects
Quality line shading and shadowing to create depth
Use of special tools and gravers
Single and multiple wire inlay
Flush sheet inlay
Raised inlay
Multiple color inlay
Sculpted inlay
Resist etching on damascus project (as time allows)
