Thank you EVERYONE for the Happy Birthday Wishes!
You made it extra nice!
Sam and I spent the day in New Orleans on Magazine street just strolling and browsing antique shops. I know, I know. There is a joke in there somewhere. Antiques for the Antique?!?!?!
Thank Ya'll again, so much!
Cheers,
Abigail
How we missed you and Sam at Reno, but had to make the best of it, so had a couple of good sessions. Stan brought his big bass. Barry Lee Hands showed himself to be a good lead guitarist, and a quick study on the songs. Ron brought his thumb, and made good use of it. Fred brought his voice, and I hauled some extra instruments.
I stopped off on the way back in Auburn, and stayed over with Pete Grant. His bango teacher was Gerry Garcia of the 'Grateful Dead', and later Pete played pedal steel with the Dead in 1969. We cut loose with pedal steel and 10 string Dobro. Pete can back you on any genre of music from renaissance to C and W. You can imagine we had fun!
