Somebody or some scanner screwed up . But at least they know where it is.
A few years back I shipped my display and guns for the Reno Guild Show and it never showed up and they didn't even know where it was. It finally showed up in Reno on Saturday afternoon. I was relieved it was no longer in the Twilight Zone someplace but it didn't help me out at the show much at that late a time since mor ethan half the show was over with..

Sarah's 28 Lost

Fred

I hope its in a UPS truck someplace, but its been lost for two days now.

UPS says it should have been scanned back in same day.

Marty

I hope its just a scanner screwup.

I am glad you got your stuff back, it does give me some hope.

I put two years work into Sarah's 28 project, but at least I will be able to replace the gun in a lot less time.

I had to teach myself to do each step as I went along, (that is why it took so long).

I am already in the market for another gun for her, (maybe a 20 gage this time).

Thanks for the encouragement.

I can't tell you loudly enough, STAY after them and don't let up. I have been through this twice with UPS and know from first hand experience that if you don't keep after them they WILL drop the ball.

It will turn up but it will be frustrating for you before it does I'm afraid. Write down who you talk to and when each time you call.

I surely will be after them daily.

I could not even sleep last night, I kept waking up thinking about it and then have to check to see if they had found it.

To have put so much time and effort into this project and then to have it end like this is hard to accept.

Thanks for the advice.

I will do that.

I can not for the life of me figure out how they could put the package out for delivery in Sparks, Nevada.

I guess if you can understand that you can believe the two airline pilots were just distracted for over an hour and overflew their destination.

Of course I guess you are distracted when you are asleep.

Thanks

Well, I'd believe it.

I've just recieved a letter from John Rohner that took 12 months to get to me.

It's in 3 layers of envelopes with one of them stamped "Bermuda"..........even though my address is correct on the original envelope.

I had another incident where I ordered some gravers from a supplier and they took nearly nine months to get to me in the post. By which time the supplier had already sent replacement ones as we both thought the package has disapeared into the ether.

So I'm sure your gun will turn up.

Cheers

Sarah's Gun

Andrew

I once ordered a book that they promptly lost.

I reordered the Book and found out, that was the last book available anyplace.

I put tracers on the first order to no avail.

They used the excuse the next city had my same street address.

I told them that is true but I don't live in that city and nobody uses my name at that address.

After about 9 months the book unexpectedly showed up on my doorstep, torn to smithereens (completely torn apart) with no explanation from UPS.

Gary

I hope you guys are right, that it will show up.

Thanks for the inspiration

Glad to hear it Ken!

Sometimes too much information is not a good thing. In the old days you would have just had to wait for it to show up and never known it was 'missing'.

Out of curiousity I did a track - interesting results:

On the 25th it was out for delivery in the wrong state.
On the 28th your trace was entered.
On the 30th it happily scanned through Salt Lake City and in to Casper, WY
On the 1st it made it to its destination.

Here is a puzzle for you

Steve

I got the same tracking information.

On the 25th is when I got nervous.
