I've had this for about 15 years and needs to be shared---just for the WOW Factor.
The picture on the left is an ensemble of a gun screw and a little white thingy sitting on a penny---all for perspective.
The little white thingy is a resin casting of an actual screw head engraved by phenomenal engraver Eric Gold.
The picture on the right speaks for itself.....and as freaking awesome as it is when you first see it, I want you to look past the elephant into the background.
I still can't match this skill.

The story Eric told me was that he did that screwhead just to prove that he could.

The images that Brian posted give away the subject too easily...

I usually hand it to a person (it's mounted to a larger plate because it's so small) upside down, and then ask them to tell me what they see. No magnification allowed.

Only two have ever gotten it right over the years.

Eric told me when he handed me mine, that he engraved it without any kind of magnification... never did find out for sure if he was pulling my leg?

It was never part of a gun to my knowledge...
