Using bondo to hold work

Hi,
When using bondo (auto body filler) to hold work, does a release agent need to be applied to the metal, or can the work be removed simply by heating? Thanks

I just heat it up. the bondo becomes soft and will allow you to remove your work but it will leave some residue that is easily removed with acetone.

silverchip: how does the bondo compare to thermoloc?

I like them both. Bondo was what we used before they came out with thermoloc. No reason not to use either one.
