Hi, I looked around on the site but the answer has eluded me. When I get to the final inside stock (background) removal of a scroll I always have a problem with the last inside point, not getting the sharp, precise cuts I see here on the site. I have tryed smaller and smaller gravers, flat, square, even a knife shape, but at the very ending inside point I seem to run into a problem getting that last clean cut at the end of the scroll.Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

Try a Tiny little triangular punch to flaten the very end were the back ground ends into a "V" if that is what you were refering to.

Cheers

Scott, I have found that tiny pointed areas can be cleaned up and shaped the way I want them using a sharp carbide scribe and basically scratching out the "offending" background metal. I have gotten to where I use the scribe a good bit.
