This week-end I attended the Greater Shenandoah Valley Knife Show, and was surprised to see Mark Thomas displaying his knives, schrimshaw, and chip carvings. Mark is a muzzel loader builder, but he designs and makes jewelry, knives, and powder horns. I felt priviledged to see his work in person. Also met another old friend of mine John Smith. John is a copper wheel crystal engraver, and also works in leather. He also is another very talented man. Ron Nott and I had tables at this show about 6 years ago. This is a very popular knife show here in VA.

JJ,
That was a hoot seeing you pop in, it had been a while since you don't do the Baltimore Show. Look forward to catching up again at the CLA show. I'll post that ivory piece when I think it's done. Thanks 'ol friend.

Yeah Chris, that's the coconut goblet I made last year, kind of odd seeing it with a feller in bibs! Thanks for noticing, Too bad you couldn't have made it over but it is a haul.
