Steve Hoel's personal knife, engraved by Lynton MacKenzie

I was at Steve Hoel's shop last week, and he showed me this sweet knife.
If I remember the story right, this knife was engraved by Lynton for Steve as a suprise for his birthday around 1984, and Steve still has it.
When Steve made the knife, he didnt even have a surface grinder or a mill.
Just files, sandpaper and drills.

I haven't seen Steve in years and he looks fit as a fiddle!

Sam, he is very active, and during my visit your name came up more than once when he was relating knife, knife show and engraving tales.
