Scroll design

Ron Smith has two books out the second one advanced design and the first one drawing an understanding scrolls. Can anyone tell me if the advanced book covers everything or do I need both books?

I'd say get both books and get Sam's DVD too: Learn to draw scrollwork

Thanks everybody I found the old thread that covered this from 2007 I think I am going to start with the advance book.

If you can only get one, I'd say the newest one is the one to get.

The newest one out would probably be Lee Griffiths... "Art & Design Fundamentals".

I found a new trick or two or three in both the book and the DVD. Even after 40+ years...

There always seems to be something you haven't seen/tried yet. Little details can yield impressive results.

I also tripped/stumbled/fell over a coupla things I should never have forgotten!

(Happens if you don't do a lot of scroll for a while... also happens simply because time passes)
