You might think I’m a bit crazy, and sure I am.
A customer came into my shop with the question if I could repair a pendant he is wearing all the time. It felt of his golden chain he bought for it. His mother died years ago and the pendant that his mother bought in Lourdes is mostly precious for him.
I have seen lot of Lourdes jewellery, and most of the time they aren’t made of precious metal.
This pendant is made from aluminium so no way to solder it.

So me being a goldsmith, I took a piece of aluminium and made a wire using a draw plate then welded it using my PUK 3.

I’m convinced the customer was lucky to enter my shop, as in my opinion no other jewellery would even have considered repairing this, but they should have.
