I was cutting on aluminum last night, (this is my first real cutting session since my bench got set up) and I noticed my hand piece was getting a bit warmer than I remember it being when I took my basic class in Emporia. Is this normal? I'm using a 6 gallon Rigid pancake compressor.

Thanks in advance.

The air compressor will build heat depending on the rate of cycling on and off.
