for a long time i use a diamond stone and a small ceramic stone to sharpen my engravers, and it work ok.
but last week i purchased a grs powerhone. and for those that do not have one yet i highly recommend investing in one. it makes your sharpening job much easier and helps to achieve a better polish.
i feel the same way about the grs turntable. at first i used a homemade one that i thought work ok, but after buying the grs one i realized that there is a huge difference.
