Mike,Thank's for posting,very interesting.A gun engraver John Murphy designed a pneumatic engraving tool back in I think back in the 1960's,before GRS and Lindsay.John was a denal technician making false teeth by day and engraving at night as a hobby for his own firearms. J.J.

Then there was the guy in Texas who invented the first palm controlled (non-foot pedal) handpiece. It wasn't patented, though.

The one I'm talking about was for hand engraving. He was waaaaay ahead of his time! As far as I know he still uses it.

I don't remember his name but I did write about him in a review I wrote about Airtact. When I get home I'll see if I can find it.

That was issue #75 July/August/September 2007.................It was the first issue of the FEGA Engraver magazine that I was editor of.

5 years and 20 issues later # 95 July/August/September 2012 went to the printers last week.

How time flies!!
