Here's a bulino peregrine falcon head I put on the back of a Kindler & Thorpe Rolex a while back now.

How will fine cutting like this hold up to the abuses that it will receive? The lettering on the case looks like it is banged up, smoothed down, etc. Is there any hope for fine bulino work in this area? Please note that I am not questioning your judgment. I honestly want to know what will happen to your work.
Thanks
Wade

It will be against the skin. Safest place, I'd think.
Depending on how coarse the arm hair..

Marcus,
Thanks so much for this post. Perfect timing since I'm focusing some of my learning time on bulino. It's nice to have macro photos of this work since I don't have actual examples to learn from. This along with your previous comments on my work are invaluable to me.
Cheers to you.

Great work. It does seem a shame that it will spend most of its time unseen, but I guess that's true of a lot of engraved works. They often end up in gun safes, safe deposit boxes, etc. At least this happy customer can always take his watch off and show it around!
