Just finished this. I purchased it to use in a side match for Cowboy Action, then thought it would make a good practice piece since the finish was so bad I figured I couldn't hurt it.

This is the first ime I tried to do a pistol.

Looks great!
I passed on a chance to get an old break top "lemon squeezer" a few years ago that I was contemplating trying to engrave , now seeing the way your H&R looks I wish I had not passed up the deal.

Very good first gun. I wish my first gun had turned out this well! On a down side, though, in the future, keep in mind that you want the scrolls to get close to, or better yet, touch the borders. Also, try to make your scrolls have more curve to them. They are a little too straight. Your backgrounding is quite nice, and you have good depth control from what I can see in the pictures. Keep it up.

Bruce,

Thanks for the critique and the good words. I see what you mean. Actually after seeing it in pictures, I see a few things I would do a little differently.

Thanks for the kind words from everyone.

I'd be interested to know where you found parts for this gun. I'd like to order some spares.

Thanks for the parts information. I made two of the springs, and it seems to work, but I'd rather have the original parts if possible . I'll check them out.
