Minor crisis

My hrs ball vise started to fall as I was working. I caught it, but it separated in the middle(equator) and I can't figue how to get it back where it should be!
Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

If I understand correctly your GRS vise separated so the ball is now unattached to the dovetail portion. If that is the case remove the tension allen screw, spring and plug from the ball portion and fit the two halves back together. When you replace the nylon plug you have to orientate to the taper of the shaft.. Fred
