If you Google "Images" for 'Miao silver work', you will find very many examples of ancient traditions carried on by the Miao people of the region for millennium.

Quite true, Arnaud,

We would all like to be as wealthy as a plumber, but only a very few engravers and silversmiths every reach that level of affluence. You and I will know earlier times, when most work was hand driven, and much can be learned with the patience of all-hand techniques. Personally, I enjoy having a foot in each tradition, hand and mechanical, in the Zen they can both be held in one big family of activity, hopefully directed to serve the community in some shape or form.
