It's good to read about the Scales brothers. Back in 1977 I engraved the furniture of a fowler for them. It was the first flintlock I had engraved and I had to do some of the bits while in the stock. I particularly remember engraving a panoply of arms on the thumb plate. The designs were pretty simple but working around that long stock was very challenging to me.:hammer:
