In Texas, the ladies of the Order of the Eastern Star place the square and compasses on the bible during their installations. A good friend of mine is being installed as the worthy matron of her chapter in Arlington, at the first of June. This is the square that I made for her installation. It is made out of 16ga. nickle and is 4" x 4". Now to make a set of compasses.

Acacia Lodge No. 4 A.F.&A.M here in Grand Forks, ND uses a hand made and engraved sterling silver square and compasses set. They were made by jeweler and 1942 Past Master Grover C. Bogenrief. It's stuff like that we all treasure. Be sure to sign and date it! :)

indeed, an "heirloom" for the organization for a very long time. is it not great to be an engraver ? to be able to become a part of such a time-honored organization.

Your work will go down in posterity and maybe one day end up in the Masonic Museum. Quite an honor.
