Anybody know of a tool maker, or supplier, that makes a liner that has a spacing of 1mm. Or even .5mm?

Hey!
Thanks guys
I'll take both of your advice.
Always happiest w my own tools.
But let someone else save me the trial and error, while I see if it will even act like I want it to.
Happy holidays. Whatever those are. ;)

Hmm. Swear I replied.
Guess it only works if you hit send.
Any ways. Thanks haraga. I did pm spadebit. Does he make the tools?
I tried to find muellers. But seems there is no 'direct' :(
Tho lots seem to Pedel his wares.
Doesn't look like ngraver makes em big enough for me.
Maybe thief biggest looks like every .3mm could work.

Spadebit is ordering the tools in. Here is a quick solution to get you by. Take a 1/8" piece of square tool steel. Soften it. Cut it. Bend it. Cut the lines in it. Harden it. Temper it. Sharpen it. And you are good to go. That will get you by.

I'm not desperate. So I do not need to just "get by". However I do intend on making my own. I want three or four of each shape to fit anywhere. So a machined consistany is desirable to me.

A flutter bar is a wide flat piece of tool steel. I made mine out of a broken drill bit flattened and ground into slight radius. sharpened from both sides. It was put into a handle like most hand gravers. To use it you walk it back and forth like you would for a wriggle cut but with the rounded face you don't leave a start and ending point. It just looks like fine lines. You can adjust your cut to make them course or as fine as you like. I use it a lot in western bright cut engraving.

I am having a hard time picturing it being used as a liner. I would love to see the results.
