My name is Kim. I have been performing scrimshaw since July 17, 2013. My son, Jake Bauer, encouraged me to try this art form. I still have a lot to learn. I have noted that the quality of the keys are critical. This is an example of my work done on recycled ivory piano keys. Please provide feedback to enable me to grow.

Thank-you,

Kim

Welcome to the forum, Kim. I am not a scrimshander, but it looks like you are off to a great start. If you don't have it already, FEGA has a DVD that was made at the show this year by Katherine Plumber that shows some of the tricks of scrim. Hope that helps.

I am amazed Kim what you achieved in this very short time, I like what I see but can't give you advise because I don't have any experience in scrimshaw, to me it looks very well.
