hello, after finishing my engraving class with JJ Roberts in Manassas VA I like to give you a litte feedback.
If you are not sure if engraving is the right think for you or you dont want to by expensive equipment up front take a class with JJ.
He provides all kind of tools for engraving and the material.
His workshop is well equiped and he has amezing tools and material.
The scheduling is easy and he is flexible. I had to reschedule for work and it was no problem.
First we started drawing, than tool sharpening, than I used all kind of different tools.
I got reading asinements and when I had questions he answered the the next day.
When I saw something in a book he showed me how do do it and he even improved the design.
He is not only an engraver he is also a very gifted artist. If you meet him ask for his book with the animal drawings.
It is very intense one on one training not a big class.
You get a good value for the money and I can recommend JJ as a great engraver and instructor.
