While I was waiting for the train and saloon boys to return from bluing this fellow and his merry band (sorry that is Robin Hood) showed up. The other side will be his lady friend.

Looks like a one eyed Long John Silver, my goodness, he sure can fix me with a compelling gaze!

Beautiful in every aspect from composition to the subtle lines of aging on his face.

That's amazing! Very rich with detail.

Question:

What do you use to hold a knife like this for the engraving? Also when you do the opposite side what if anything do you do to protect your work?
