One of the star objects in our new Buffalo Bill Museum is a glittering gold and diamond buffalo head ring. The buffalo head was a gift from the Grand Duke Alexis of Russia to William F. Cody in 1872. It's the perfect bling for superstar Buffalo Bill!

Thanks for the images. Are you connected with the BBHC? Also when you write "our new Buffalo Bill Museum" is there another or newer one than the BBHC in Cody, Wyoming?

Not affiliated at all! That was the write-up with the posting on FB. Last time I went to the museum was in 1967, in Cody, so it wouldn't surprise me if they have a new one.
