Does anyone know how to disable to "tapatalk app available" notification that pops up every time you change pages on the forum? I even bought the app to try and make it go away, but that didn't work either. I'm kind of a Luddite, so I find this baffling and infuriating. Thank you for any help you can offer.

I use the iPad almost exclusively for the forum and have never seen the ad. Had to google tapatalk. I suggest looking in your settings. If you scroll down on the left window you may find the icon for tapatalk. Select it and see if you can disable messages or alerts. Sounds like somehow you authorized some app to push notifications to you.

I have Tapatalk enabled because some members use it. I never see what you're seeing though.

I checked the settings, and it doesn't look as though the app is allowed to do anything. This started before I downloaded the app, so I suspect it is a setting somewhere else. Grumble. Thank you for your time, I'll look for an ipad forum.
