FEGA Castings

Just got a batch of castings from FEGA. Wow, what an "eye-opener". They really put things in perspective when it comes to design, how the cuts are executed and the overall scale of things. A collection of these exemplars should be on every new engravers bench. Photographs and videos are great but there is nothing like a physical example to make things "click".

Glad you posted this and found out what an incredibly valuable resource these are. Castings are indeed something that every new engraver should study. Many never get a chance to see well cut engraving in person. With castings in hand you can take all the time you like to study the work at your own bench, under your own scope and glean valuable information about technique, style and execution that can't be had through photos alone. I still use them regularly for inspiration and insight.

I intend to collect more as finances allow. They are a valuable resource and it supports a great organization.
