Drawing onto the water

This is not related with engraving but it is art called Ebru and maybe you like it.
They transfer these drawings on to the some materials such as paper, fabric etc. All of them are unique, can't produce same again.

Ebru is Turkish for Marbling, and this art is technically Paper Marbling.

Nice work - for paper marbling.

For more info on marbling, it may be better to go to the link below (an excellent site on marbling procedures, materials, etc.; and it is in english) than to bring marbling to the engraving forum.

Funny! remember me when i was child playing with water and oil colours to make this type of painted papers, but i had neverdraw nothing like this girl, only abstract mixture of colors, very interesting, thank you for share!

There are many workshop to teach these kind of arts in Istanbul. I will join another Turkish art course next month. It is the Turkish illumination art called as Tezhip in Turkish has many motifs in it. They were using this art to decorating books and calligraphic boards by using gold and paint produce some plant roots etc.
I am hoping to use some of their technique and goods for engraving. Maybe I can find these old paints to paint the bulino. I also had seen some very thin brushes made of horse hair and bird wings and maybe able to draw scrolls directly onto the metal by these.
I am not sure I wonder is it possible to adapt these motifs to engraving.
