I bought Mr. Lee 's book and DVD set and it was perfect.

are these 2 books as clear as Mr. Lee's book ? I mean, are they teaching step by step ?

The Victorian book is a pattern book, not a teaching guide.
Sherwood's book is very good considering it only has 36 pages. A good amount of material is contained in it and is a good value for the price.

Dover has the former, as well as many others, available on their website and they often have them for sale at prices up to 60% off the retail price. If you want pattern books, you would be well advised to sign up for their newsletter. They have weekly sales.

They have ornament books from all time periods and cultures.
Many of them include a CD of vector designs of all the patterns in the book.
Most also show you several pages of the content for review before you purchase.
