It`s more of a lettering & monograms book.

A good book if you want to learn hand push lettering in sterling silver. At that price any engraver can pick up a tip or two from this older manual.

The Hardey book was one of the first engraving books I bought but since I was only working on guns it was of limited assistance. Nevertheless if you are anything like Scott Pilkington and me, you just have to have everything ever written on engraving.
