unusual buckle for me

Every once in a while I like to do something pretty different to keep myself interested in my work...this is definately different for me.
I pretty much flew by the seat of my pants on this project. One day if I can find a money tree I would love to do this buckle with a silver buckle blank, green gold for the scrolls, yellow gold for the flowers and rose gold for the flower centers. Don't think I will find a money tree so this will have to do for now....which by the way is copper and silver. :beat up:
Any/all critique is welcome.

I like it

Some good ideas happening there and a lot of work.

And yes, you have to do these things to keep the creative juices flowing.....and it's fun to do. :)

Cheers

Thanks Andrew, I appreciate it! Especially since I had no real plan of action on this project and its totally out of my comfort zone. It turned into great fun though.

Hi Jim,
I pierced this out of one solid sheet of silver, then soldered it to the copper and sculpted it all. I like that, "the ones that take you instead of you taking it"

I like it. I have been thinking about doing something similar but in a ring. No sawing but cutting down to the "copper" layer.

Thanks for posting

That must have taken some serious time, and it's very striking! Nice job and a very catchy design. Thanks for sharing with us.

Really nice design and a great concept. I always enjoy seeing your sculpting. I think this will be one of those pieces that only looks better with the patina of a few years wear. Are you going to antique it?
Best,
