I found I needed more storage for my engraving stuffs, so have been working on dovetailing drawers (by hand) and practicing inlays- lots of room now!

I hope you are using one of your engraved planes to skillfully shave minute ribbons of wood while you are building these.

I am impressed, my attempts never seem to carry the nice character that you've put into your work. You should be very proud of the "handwork", lol, makes a classy bench.

Very nice work, Cloudy. I had the same thought as Marty - using those beautiful planes as they were meant to be used...

Cloudy,

A beautiful personal piece of great woodworking! Well done, and so useful!

Have you thought about wall mounting the chest just where it is but, say, 9 inches above the bench surface, allowing the full bench surface to continue to be used?

best

Rod
