I just found a book that I got a couple years ago as a gift -
"Victorian Ornamental Designs" by Dover books
"286 royalty free designs", and comes with a cd of all the pictures too!

Price indicated on the back of the book is only $14.95.

Not selling mine, just putting the info out there...

Is it a book of Klimt? One of my favorite, incredible virtuosity design, have it since my first year of gun engraving in 1980, that time without CD.

No, it's a collection of ornamental designs from architectural elements like columns and mouldings to furniture, tableware, even a couple watches. Lots of leaf & flower variations, even some faces, cherubs, etc. Lots of great shading variations too.

I see in the back of the book they have 250 royalty free collections including animals and lettering.

Dover sent me a special catalog 2 weeks ago that contained only the design and lettering books, over 300 of them. They were also having a 30% off with orders over $40 but I think it ended yesterday. However, they still have continuing sales going on now on various "internet only" selections.

Eric Olson,
That name rings a bell. Did I just send you some grips for a 1911?

Dave I will be in West Tennessee next week deer hunting. I was raised in Decatur County along the river. Are you anywhere near there?

Carl,
I'm in Fayette county about halfway between Oakland and Somerville.
Feel free to stop by if it's on your way and we'll shoot the breeze.
