i recently got a "scienscope" brand stereo zoom scope on e-bay. the deal included the xtra .5 lens, post, boom arm, and also the base plate. there's a ton of working distance between lens and workpiece.i'm nobodys' agent but this scope is very sharp and clear right out to the edge of the field. it also has a tremendous "depth of field" as i call it. the entire instrument is cast metal except for the focusing and tension knobs, they are plastic. if anyone is lookin to buy a scope, and sees this brand, based on my experience with this one, i'd say it's a good instrument to buy. also the scope does not drift out of focus. i guess any brand can show up less than desirable, but this one works great for me !!
