I was wondering if anyone has any info on Enoch Tue? I find his work outstanding and would like to know more about him but all I seem to find out is that he was the head engraver at Savage Arms in the early 1900's. I appreciate any info/input. Great site with so many talented people.

Thanks,
Chris O.

There is not a lot known about Enoch Tue. He was born in England and was apprenticed as an engraver at E. J. Churchill. He was Chief Engraver at Savage Arms Co. from 1900 until 1916. There is a display of some elaborately engraved Savage rifles that Tue engraved at the Frazier Historical Arms Museum in Louisville, KY. Other rifles he engraved are pictured in Steel Canvass by R. L. Wilson.
