I haven't posted for a long time, but I just finished this piece and wanted to share it. This was done on a 5-1/2" silver oval. It was created for a recent exhibit at the Boston ANA show to illustrate the style of "Indian Peace Medal" produced in Washington's time, but keeping in step with the Lincoln theme and of the exhibit as well as the time period of the event. Also on display was Don Everharts' lovely medal cast in bronze, as well as a struck medal utilizing Victor D. Brenner's die for the original bronze plaque mated with a new reverse to spotlight Brenner's achievement.

Thanks for the nice comments. This was pretty challenging for me since I haven't done any line engraving for about 10 years. I was starting to get the hang of it towards the end of the project. Anyway, if my client sells this one, I may get a second try it. I wanted to add some more background and shading on both sides, but I already had too much time in it for the price I bid.
