26 gauge 24K gold wire weighs .510 dwt (pennyweight). 20 dwt per ounce.
Therefore there is just about 38-39 feet to the ounce.
Divide the price of spot, add a little mfg. and profit, shipping and insurance and that should be about it.

I bought one foot of 26 gauge 24K wire from Hagstoz in Philadelphia about a month ago and if I remember correctly I paid about $45.
Hope that helps, although since gold keeps going up it may be a little bit more.
