Didyoung,

Do you ever scan your designs and work them up in a software program, Photoshop? If not, how do you go from the rough or finished drawing to putting the image on the gun?

One thing I see that I think may be an issue is that in both panels you have two origins - there are two 'C' sets in each.

Might be just me keeping it simple but I would just have one origin in a panel and grow everything from that. Ok, at some point I'll probably have a design with more than one origin but in that case it'll be one of the layouts where the scrolls grow into / through each other. In this case the second 'C' is just sort of a little orphan used to fill a space.

I realize this is just and early, rough drawing but one thing you might look at is Leonardo's thread of a few days ago about the origin of scrolls from borders or from each other.
This is basic and important in any scroll design.

Let's see if I can get this to work...

Ok, I think that came through.

If you look, I've done a quick circling of how you have, on both panels, two of the 'C' type scroll pairs normally used as origin points.
