HeLp! Browning HP

Hi

Have a browning HP with competition grade barrel. Fitted the barrel and it's great in my other browning and works flawless. But the Browning its intended for I have a problem.

When I pull the slide back with slide stop pin in place it locks up, without the slide stop pin it functions flawless...

Any ideas on the possible cause for locking up? I know asking on an engraving Forum might be a reach ,but the knowledge goes far on this forum.

I'm more familiar with 1911's but it sounds like the radius on the barrel where the lock pin goes needs to be filed a little deeper. Go slow when you file it or you will make the fit to loose.
