Critique Request Scrimshaw-an initial attempt

A woman where I worked always used pics of her boy, Stone, on home made greeting cards. Meanwhile, I bought a scrimshaw kit from Boone Trading Company and used the little piece of pre-ban ivory to reproduce the image from a New Years card. She wished me good things including "toes in the sand days!" I'll give her the little necklace. What do you think?

Your showing great talent for a first attempt:thumbs up: I think in scrimshaw getting the values right is the hardest thing to master.
