Friends,

I spent about 6 hours on this. Ron told me how to 'lighten' the areas that are too dark with a burnisher (even gave me one!). That really helped. I need to finish the scroll work now. I'm still drawing the layout on the plate by hand. Then I engrave the plate by viewing the image on the computer.

Let me know what you think...

Not bad. I can think of a lot of things that would be worse than staring at her for six hours ;-). I take it the burnisher does not shine up the area much, as I can not even notice where you used it.

Ron,

Actually, the burnishing does give it highlights, that if not gently sanded, do look too bright. I felt they were too strong, so did a little 600 grit sanding.
