What a great Reno gallery! Thanks, Rod. Makes me wish I could have seen more displays, though. This is the next best thing :)

Rod, you captured the flavor of it. And I didn't realize how much I missed. Wonderful photography.
One of the specials for those of you who weren't there was getting to meet Rod and of course Emily.
I went to FEGA for the first time with some trepidation; but everyone was generous and welcoming.

Thank-you for the photos Rod. Great work and I'm glad that everyone had a safe and enjoyable show. 2 and a half years of work will finally come to fruition by the end of this year and I will finally see all of you next year.

Book me a table and send me the bill Rex.

God speed gentlemen, this is going to be a great year,

Chris

Good thing, Chris. Katherine and Carl were saying good things about you, and I'd be happy to meet you. See you then.

That's very kind Gary .... thank-you. The Bliele brothers are a national treasure in the engraving world and I'm looking forward to collaborating with Katherine on a few projects.

See you then.

With the permission of Sam A and Katherine P , I have added to

http://picasaweb.google.com/rodcameron2

and acknowledged some their great photos, which include the social side of Reno, for example, the jam sessions and dinner/ awards.

Thank you, colleagues, for your kind remarks about the slide show! It is such a treat to meet many forum contributors in person from iGraver, the Lindsay Forum, and also some who work alone. Fate dealt me a nice deal, I can drive from my Mendocino workshop to Reno in about seven hours, however Donner Pass was best traversed on the Casino bus due to the storms and snow. Now, if I had to come over from my Scottish workshop, that would have cost the big bucks.

Once more, a huge thank you to Rex, Mike, and all FEGA members who gave of themselves to make our visit smooth sailing!

Rod

Rod,

Thanks for posting all of these fine photos. They really give a feel of being there. Your musical stylings of voice and guitar really add lots to the event and when added to Abby, Fred, and Stan on bass the jam sessions were an event in and of themselves.

For those of you who only know Rod as related to engraving, I have posted a link to his fascinating life story from The Thistle & Shamrock by Fiona Ritchie. http://www.thistleradio.com/index.p...on&catid=39:Archived Guest Articles&Itemid=71

Rod is far too modest to go on about his background and renown but I feel very lucky to know such a fine artist and craftsman and have a chance to enjoy his music first hand.

Roger
