Default My first 2 Engraved Rings

I took an engraving class by Diane Scalese about 4 years ago, and I started engraving again a few months ago. The first ring: I did a few months ago.
    These are my ring blanks:
The blanks are aluminum tubing, polished, then cut to size.

This is the ring I made for my friend:

The ring turned out pretty well. I couldn't get the little hearts for the "i's" to turn out right. Other than that I'm pretty happy. And so is my friend!

Hi Emily. Welcome to the Cafe! I like the first one the best. When you cut the straight lines in the stars be sure to back-cut each line to make them an even thickness at both ends. I'm sure your friends are delighted to get hand engraved rings

Welcome Emily, rings are harder to engrave than a flat plate.

    Hi Emily,

Glad you are picking up the graver again!

Rings are a tricky job to cut, and aluminum brings it own challenges also.

    A good new beginning!

    keep after it!

ps I highly recommend Sam's CD Rom on computer lettering. It helped transform my engraving career.
