1st carved coin

One day I had to give it a try too... A correct "Buffalo Nickel" was not at hand, so I used a British "Fifty Pence" piece instead. It's diameter is 1.076 inch and I guess that is considerable larger than the proper old US coin. I choosed a Medusa head as a subject and enjoyed this work a lot altough the material was quite soft.

Defacing a coin of the realm, that's a treasonable offense!!! Nice carving Martin, be careful though - it gets very addictive.
