After seeing a video on the new vice in the works by Steve Shepherd, I got inspired to build a armrest for my bench, it cost under $20 and uses a 1/2" galvanized pipe, L joint, floor flange and some pipe insulation. Oh and I did use a couple of pieces padding form a weight bench that sadly has not gotten much use lately.
This may not be for everyone but seems to work well and moves out of the way when not in use. I might try and add a few more L joints to it so I can mount it under the table??
