For those interested, this one can be viewed in high quality. It also features crosshatching which was a recent topic of discussion.
Enjoy! / ~Sam

Thank you Sam, sure it is very interesting to see how you do this.
I will watch this some more times in the future.
Seeing you do this looks so easy :big grin:

Thanks, John and Arnaud. I hope the video loads fast enough. This one is many times larger megabyte-wise, but the resolution is much better. Anyway, I'm glad you like it and hope it helps your shading.

Cheers / ~Sam

Sam, I like what I see as to how you construct your shading.
But I'm having a problem with the video; it gets jerky at critical moments.
Would it be better for me to go directly to You Tube? Or is there a protocol that I don't know about? Sorry to say but I'm not up to date on these things.
I've got a Mac with high speed access.

Not sure, Kevin. I guess try YouTube directly. YouTube compresses the video after I upload it, so what you see is never as good as what I uploaded. That I have no control over, aside from trying to upload as good a quality as possible in hopes that it won't degrade as much after they process it.

Well,

I got dizzy and fell off my chair !

That is some beautiful stuff.

Send it to me Sam, and I will put a barrel and trigger on it.

Sam,

This is a Great Video!

You do a great service to our community. It is invaluable. I want to thank in everyone's name..

It is great help to see how someone like you does it. Takes a lot of guessing out of it.

By the way, I had no problem with the loading of it.

Great little video. Good quality and nice close-ups. Sam on the finished view did you remove some of the background or stipple without metal removal. Whatever you did, it added nice depth and a clean finish. Thanks for taking the time to do the video.

Sam, I just watched your video on You Tube. The quality is good; the cuts you make are clear. What I described before may just be an anomaly. After all I in the wilds of northern NM. The phone company is just now putting in fiber optics.

Hi Mike. I stippled the background but didn't remove it. Glad you like that video.

Boris: Many thanks, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
