Customer needs hand lettering in a hurry

Hi All,

I have been contacted by a lady who needs some lettering work done on a vanity set. I am not able to help her because I am going to be participating in the 2009 Western Design Conference in Jackson Hole and I'm leaving in a couple of days. She has a tight deadline. (Doesn't everyone?)

I told her that I would try to help her find a hand engraver who could meet her deadline. So if you have an interest in the work, send me a PM and I'll forward her contact information to you.

Here's part of her email to me.

I want to have a sterling silver gorham vanity set engraved for my future
daughter in law to give her on September 24, 2009. I found you on the website
and not sure where you are located or if I could shipped it to you insured.

Basically the hand mirror and brush are very ornate with a medallion about the
size of a fifty cent piece where the monogram is to be engraved. I can send
with a copy of the type script I am interested in copying. Is this something
you could do and about how much would you charge plus shipping to Louisiana.

Jim,

Can't help you on the lettering job, but have fun at the Western Design Conference.

There just happens to be a great lettering and all around engraver living in the lady's home state, ha ha.
If he has the time to consider her job, and looking at his latest forum video it would be no problem for him to do.
But he may not want to try holding these difficult shape parts for engraving even if he has the time.
Have fun on your trip and sell a lot of horseshoes.
