Omega?

Hello all.... has anyone engraved an Omega stainless steel seamaster watch beefore?

Does anyone have any info on working w these watches?

Jeff: I'm almost positive that they are 316L stainless steel. Hard stuff but engravable. Expect to spend time resharpening. They're really nice watches and if you engrave one be sure to post pics. / ~Sam

p.s. I would have the movement, bezel, and crystal removed if you're going to engrave the case.

If it belongs to James Bond make sure to remove the lasers, saws and repelling lines as well!
While Sam has a ton more experience than I do on watches, do expect to spend a lot of time sharpening. For some reason a watch case seems tougher to cut than a gun with the same hardness. I think it has something to do with the "mass" if metal and there is less bounce or vibration on a gun than a watch.
