John, I use 56 wire solder, I think it flows at about 1140 degrees, and lots of flux.

Great set of spurs. Your overlay design covers the surface with nice flow and it looks very natural. Nicest set of spurs I can recall.

What is the finish on the steel?

Not only are the overlays and their design very nice, but the steel work is very good as well. I bet those spurs fit a boot and stay where they are supposed to. A beautiful combination of form, function, design and art.

It's a cold blue and flitz finish. If you go to the bit and spur forum, I have explained the whole process from start to finish.
