Help on first pistol engraving

I,m getting ready to do my first pistol engraving and need to know about the hardness of Bond Arms stainless pistols...

Billzach,

I have done one of the Bond derringers & had no problem at all: it cut great (for stainless).

You will find that they cut very nice for stainless, however, if yours has a trigger gard, it is not the same material as the gun. You can cut it, but t is mushy, but cuttable.

You will love working on it. For first gun there could not be a better choice. My first gun was also a Bond Texas Defender, by then I was using the old Gravermaister. Even so, it was an encouraging experience that gave me the false impression that all guns would cut like that...
